General information
Compassion Health Newmarket is Paradise Health's program for low-income individuals and families in the Newmarket area without health insurance.
For 60-days, Paradise Health's interdisciplinary clinic team provides comprehensive clinical care tailored to your specific health concerns and goals. This may include:
*Naturopathic medicine
*Massage therapy
*Nutrition
*Exercise therapy and testing
*Hydrotherapy
*Mental and spiritual counseling
*Lab test
The program is offered in partnership with the Newmarket Seventh-day Adventists and other generous partners whose desire is for everyone to experience vibrant health and a more abundant life.

Eligibility criteria
You are eligible to apply if you meet ALL the following criteria:
1. Resident of the Newmarket area (Newmarket, Aurora, Bradford-West Gwillimbury, East Gwillimbury, King, Whitechurch-Stouffville etc)
2. Has chronic disease/condition (see below)
3. No private health insurance
4. Financial limitation. Must meet at least ONE of the following criteria:
a. At or below poverty line (see below)
b. Unemployed
c. Disability leave
d. Single parent
e. Newcomer
CRA notice of assessment or other proof of income or status must be submitted with the application for approval.
Official government household poverty line as defined by Market Basket Measure:
Household of 1 - $27,624 annual income
Household of 2 - $38,000
Household of 3 - $47,000
Household of 4 - $57,531

Spots are limited and acceptance into the program is at the sole discretion of Paradise Health and its program partners.
The program is free of charge
The program's aim is to provide superior wholistic lifestyle medicine and naturopathic care to individuals who may otherwise be unable to access such care.

3. Drug de-escalation or cessation
4. Gain support health community
5. Develop life-long health habits
Health conditions
This program is intended for individuals with chronic health conditions.
These include, but is not limited to:
- Diabetes mellitus
- Heart disease
- Pain, including arthritic pain
- Depression and anxiety
- Hypertension
- Cancer
- High cholesterol
- Obesity and excess weight
- Gut issues
- Eczema and similar skin conditions

How it works
1. Submit an application form (below). The application will be reviewed and acceptances will be sent via email.
2. Initial assessment with Naturopathic Doctor. You will receive a lab requisition and an individualized treatment plan for the program.
3. Next 7 weeks: Therapies, health talks, health coaching, support groups and consults based on your individual treatment plan prescribed by the naturopathic doctor.
4. Last week: Exit consults, blood test and assessments
